Oconei's
Technology
Our primary objective is to provide Cost
Effective - Quality Services to our clients.
Oconei utilizes several high-end
products and advanced
installation methods to
provide wireless internet access, even to the most
demanding (indoor & outdoor)
environments.
Our wireless digital microwave transmission technologies and equipment
support 802.11 clients
and provide "best-in-class" wireless connectivity, privacy
and security.
We believe
that when wireless applications are concerned, there are no professional
solutions out of the box. Every area has it's own unique characteristics
and the equipment must be properly selected, configured and installed,
in order to provide:
• compliance
with FCC regulations
• quality of
service for the end user
• trouble free
operation for the location owner
Public Hot Spot locations, can be both indoor
and outdoor areas.
A typical installation of an indoor location , requires the usage of
a high speed internet line, a broadband router, a wide coverage wireless
access point and an antenna.
In larger venues, a combination of multiple access points can be used
to achieve coverage of several thousands or millions of square feet and/or
multiple floors.
A standard installation by Oconei's certified technicians, includes
the following:
• RF
(Radio Frequency) area survey
• NAS
Wireless Cell equipment,
specially customized for each location
• Aesthetic
professional installation
• Software
configuration of the router and of the access point(s)
• Testing
of the coverage area
The maximum number of simultaneous wireless
users who can access the internet in our locations can be, for a typical
installation, up to 250 and
can scale up to several hundred or thousands for
larger venues, depending from the equipment used.
The equipment and broadband connectivity at all locations, are constantly
monitored (24/7) by our redundant NOC (network operations center) to
achieve maximum uptime for the entire network.
Oconei subscribers, can use their accounts at
any time, in any Oconei Hot-Spot, since they are centrally
authenticated by our RADIUS and ACCOUNTING servers.
